About the GMP1SA00
The GMP1SA00 controller is part of the Graphite HMI Expansion Module series. This controller was designed by Red Lion as a Graphite PID controller. This module only has a single PID input loop. As a GMP1 module, there is an optional DC analog output, this output can be independently scaled and configured to allow for re-transmission or control purposes. When operating the voltage for the optional output is either twenty milliamperes or ten volts.
As this module only has a singular loop there are only seven internal “soft” alarms. The alarms will be assigned to trigger any output. The typical alarm standards are two heated current alarms, an input fault alarm, and four-processor alarms.
The GMP1SA00 module will be connected and communicated through a USB connector. The host device that this module is connected to is equipped with Ethernet and serial ports which allow for data to be shared between the two modules, some of the data shared involve the SCADA, PC, and PLC systems. When the module has been programmed it can operate independently of the Graphite host device so long as power is still applied to the GMP1SA00 module.
The GMP1SA00 module has the capability to employ a unique overshoot suppression feature; the overshoot suppression feature allows for the module to perform the quickest response without causing an excessive overshoot to occur. The module can be operated in manual mode. When the module is in manual mode it can be used with direct control of the output.
